Wind Dancer Welsh Pony Farm

In 1992, while visiting the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, Muriel watched the Welsh Pony & Cob show and fell in love with the beauty and versatility of the Section B Welsh Pony. While she was there, she purchased two mares to serve as riding ponies for her children and the beginning of her breeding program. In 1993, she imported Downland Eclipse from the Downland Stud (UK) as her foundation mare. Downland Eclipse went on to be a champion in both Canada and the USA and the dam of several champions in North America. In 1996, she began using the prefix “Wind Dancer”, inspired by the elegant movement of the welsh breed.

Wind Dancer strives to breed ponies that excel in welsh type and conformation and in performance. Several Wind Dancer ponies have moved on to the hunter circuit in both Canada and the USA, including Wind Dancer Diamond in the Rough, Wind Dancer Cabernet, Wind Dancer Genuine Gold, Wind Dancer Cleopatra and Wind Dancer Go For the Gold (shown as Orchard Hills Double Take in the US). Others have found themselves as foundation stock for other welsh breeders in North America.

We specialize in breeding Welsh Section B, Half Welsh and Sport Ponies.
